In 2016 my daughter became a teenager. Until that point I was lucky enough to have an extremely tight, loving and healthy positive relationship – she was my best friend.

Following a separation from her mother there were times when she lived solely with myself whilst her mother battled (thankfully successfully) with a condition.

Parenting is tough – there is no successful manual. Growing up is tough – teenage girls go through a whole range of emotions. Both of these worlds clashed in Spring 2016 when we had a disagreement and the “first father/daughter” clash occurred. Life would never be the same again.
