The Rumble EP Track #4 – Rising Strong

Inspired by the Brene Brown Book – Rising Strong.

This song documents a story of a personal fall which led to a spiral of depression and consideration of suicide.

At this low point the process of really feeling these emotions began (The Reckoning) this is followed by an honest and frank understanding of how this situation arose without blaming anyone then accepting full responsibility (The Rumble).

Once the understanding and the responsibility are linked plans can be made to move forward learning from the past and Rising Strong (The Revolution).

Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 47 – I, Hegsy, was nearly one of them. I HAD to write this song to heal and HAD to get this message animated to let the world know, especially men, that it is ok to fail, it is ok to be depressed. We must talk about our feelings. We should never feel shame – We are not alone.
